Warmth on my hands

Cold fingertips melt away

I am reminded of small love

So I laugh at your word play

But nothing is meant to last

Not forever at least

So I forget

That milks spoils

Sour in taste

It wasn’t the toothpaste

That made it this way

Sometimes things need to end

And the best I could’ve done

Was dump the milk away

Though I miss a chance

It will come again

Through an unexpected way

Because you will be here to stay

Always
